Many of the most common questions we get asked about TribuCast™ can be found below

Is TribuCast™ available worldwide?
Yes. We currently work with funeral homes on several continents.
Is there a maximum number of viewers who can watch a service at a time?
No. We find most services have an average of 60-90 remote attendees, though we have had TribuCasts™ viewed by more than 1,000 individuals.
What equipment do I need to get up and running?

Please visit the “Resource” link at the bottom of the TribuCast™ website for recommended equipment.

What are the apps that I need to download onto my device in order to get started?

For iPad or iPhone

From the Apple App Store download/install two free apps: “Speedtest.net” from Ookla, and “Live Air Solo” from Teradek.

For Android Phone or Tablet

From the Google Play Store Store download/install two free apps: “Speedtest.net” from Ookla, and “Larix Broadcaster”.

For Existing Fixed-Camera Systems

Can I use the camera on my iPad?

Yes, TribuCast™ works on a variety of devices including iPhones, iPads, Android phones and Android tablets.

Does TribuCast™ work with Android devices too?

Yes, TribuCast™ can be used with Android devices. Please visit the “Resource” link at the bottom of the TribuCast™ website for more information about how to set up your Android device.

Can I use a professional HD camera that is capable of wifi instead of using an iPad, iPhone or Android device?

That may be possible, please contact a TribuCast™ Advisor to discuss at (800) 782-0104.

Can outdoor services be streamed as well?

Yes, as long as adequate internet service is available. Make sure you have at least 3 bars of cellular network signal and 3Mbps+ upload speed available on the device you are tribucasting with at your TribuCast™ location; 8Mbps or higher is preferred for best results.

Are services recorded? Can I view the service at a later date?

Yes, if the family chooses to make it available, the service can be viewed again for up to 90 days using the same link.  It can also be downloaded for free.

Can I do a trial run before we actually need to film a service?

Absolutely. We support you throughout the entire process, from getting set up to monitoring your TribuCasts™ for audio/video quality. If you are new to TribuCast™ we suggest scheduling a demo to get you started.

What makes TribuCast™ stand out from Facebook Live Streaming?

Tribucast™ was thoughtfully designed to let family and loved ones privately attend a funeral or memorial service in real time, or at a later date, on a phone, tablet or computer. Unlike other streaming platforms, TribuCast™ closely matches the in-person experience for those attending remotely by including interactive touchpoints like the service program, photos, eulogies and memorabilia. Remote attendees can easily access a TribuCast™ through the use of a private link.

Do we download the software ahead of time? Or do we go through those steps when we are ready to webcast?
You download and set up the software ahead of time. It is a “one-time” process.

Once this set up is complete, you purchase a TribuCast™ from our website (they can be purchased hours, days or weeks in advance) and enter the Stream Security Code for that service into the software you downloaded onto the device you will be using to broadcast. At that time you will also be given a unique Distribution Link (website URL) for that service which is shared with the family.
