          2. Click “Add New Overlay” to create new overlays to begin and end your services.  Adding a “Please Stand By” overlay is helpful as well should you need to move the camera and not want show your movement or perhaps deactivate the camera for a moment to give the family some needed privacy.
          • Once you’ve created an overlay you “activate it” or turn it on by taping it and surrounding its box in GREEN.
          • To “deactivate” or turn off an overlay you tap the overlay box again and turn the outline of the box from GREEN to WHITE.
          • Swipe from left to right on the right edge of the screen to hide the menu again.
    • 6. Consider the $9.99 in-app Recording feature (found in Blue Gears/Extra Features). This one-time purchase option helps provide peace of mind when broadcasting from locations with questionable internet.  Recordings can be broadcast to a TribuCast® page once you return to a stable internet location.

NOTE: TribuCast now provides the ability to do “multi-camera” broadcasts when using Airmix Solo, sufficient WiFi and the Airmix Remote companion app running on another iOS device. Airmix Remote is available as a free download from the Apple App Store.

ON YOUR ANDROID PHONE or TABLET

While we recommend using Apple devices, we have a number of funeral directors in the US and overseas who prefer to use Android devices. If that’s the case for you, you can follow these simple steps:

    1. From the Google Play Store download/install “Speedtest.net” from Ookla. You will need a minimum of 3Mbps UPLOAD speed at your service location to use TribuCast®; 8Mbps or higher is preferred.
    2. From the Google Play Store download and install IRL Pro (NOTE: IRL Pro only works with newer Android devices). If you are using an older Android device and recording locally while broadcasting is important to you, you’ll need to use Larix Broadcaster. NOTE: Larix Broadcaster is no-longer free. They have changed to a $9.99/month subscription model.  If you have an older Android device and a free app is important to you, but recording locally while broadcasting isn’t, consider using RTMP Camera which is also found on the Google Play Store and has similar setup steps.
    3. Open IRL Pro, Larix Broadcaster or RTMP Camera once loaded.
    4. If the app asks for access to your camera and microphone click “OK” (If you don’t click OK the application won’t work.)
      • On the home screen click “Options”, “Settings” or gear icon to connect your device to our servers.
    5. Navigate to the screen where you create a new connection and connect to rtmp://bintu-stream.nanocosmos.de:1935/rec/Gipfy-xxxxx where “Gipfy-xxxxx” is the Stream Security Code for your service. In both IRL Prl and Larix you will click the “Connections” option and then click “New Connection” (in RTMP Camera you will click “Publish address”).
      • You’ll be taken to a screen titled “New connection”
        • in the Name field enter: TribuCast®
        • in the URL field enter: rtmp://bintu-stream.nanocosmos.de:1935/rec/Gipfy-xxxxx
        • NOTE: The “Gipfy-xxxxx” above will be replaced with the unique Stream Security Code you’ll be given each time you purchase a new TribuCast®.
        • In RTMP Camera you will enter the “Gipfy-xxxxx” in the Stream name field and rtmp://bintu-stream.nanocosmos.de:1935/rec in the RTMP server URL field
        • Click SAVE to apply your new connection settings!
    6. Then click the back icon and click “Video”. Click “Video size” and scroll down to choose “960×540” or “640×480”
    7. Then click the back icon until you get to the home screen
    8. From the home screen you can “Start” and “Stop” a TribuCast® by pressing the red record button on your screen.
    9. NOTE: there is an option in settings in both IRL Pro and Larix to Record where you can choose to locally record what you wish to broadcast onto your device.  This is useful if you ever find yourself in a location that does not have sufficient internet to broadcast.  In those cases you can record the service and have your TribuCast® Advisor assist you in uploading your service for viewing later.
