Instalando una nueva cámara de óptica PTZ y el estudio OBS

The following is a step-by-step guide on how to set up a PTZ Optics camera system and OBS Studio to work with the TribuCast® Remote Attendance System™

The following is a step-by-step guide on how to set up a PTZ Optics camera system and OBS Studio to work with the TribuCast® Remote Attendance System™

  • PC conectado a su red y a Internet
  • Conmutador Ethernet POE
  • Óptica PTZ Cámara SDI 20x o 30x
  • Audio/Sound System connected to the camera via line in port or PC via mic port
  1. Desembalar la cámara óptica PTZ
    • Enchufa la cámara a la corriente de la pared
    • Enchufa la cámara al televisor con un cable HDMI
    • Conecte la cámara a su red mediante un cable ethernet y alimentación a través de ethernet (POE) cambiar
    • Plug camera into your Audio Source, Microphone or PA System’s LINE OUT port using the the LINE IN port on the back of the camera
  2. Power camera on and establish connection with TV (it is a good idea to test your audio at this point)
    • Apuntela cámara a distancia a la cámara y presione #, *, 4 para poner la cámara en modo DHCP que le dará una dirección IP en su red (la cámara se reiniciará)
    • Apunta la cámara a distancia ala cámara y pulsa *, #, 4 para mostrar la dirección IP de la cámara y escribe la dirección (se verá algo como 192.168.1.100)
    • Ingresa a la cámara usando un navegador web en el PC escribiendo la dirección IP mostrada en la barra de direcciones del navegador (el ID de usuario y la contraseña son admin y admin)
    • Click on Network in the left column and then click the “IP Configuration Type”  drop down box to the right and change it from Dynamic IP Address to “Fixed” making sure the IP address you wrote down is displayed in the IP Address line below that. Write down and save the MAC Address along with the IP Address in a location that is easily accessible by staff as they may be needed later and then click Apply just below where the MAC Address is listed.
    • If you need to flip the camera image that is done under the Image tab and you can confirm audio is set to “Line In” and “Input Vol L and R” are set to 30 under the Audio tab (additional volume adjustments can be made in the Audio Mixer in OBS Studio by selecting the gear to the right of the audio source and selecting Advanced Audio Properties).
    • Upgrade the firmware on the camera using the Firmware Finder and instructions also found at ptzoptics.com/downloads (NOTA: Debe actualizar el firmware de la cámara antes de proceder)
  3. Install and configure the PTZ Camera Control App on your PC (also found at ptzoptics.com/downloads)
  4. Install OBS Studio software on your PC (also found at ptzoptics.com/downloads).
  5. Optimize for streaming when prompted and accept the default Video Settings by clicking “Next” (NOTE: If this is not your first time installing OBS Studio at this location and you are configuring OBS Studio on an additional PC or User Account using Exported Profile and Scene configurations you can click Cancel at this point then follow the Import portion of the TribuCast OBS Studio Export/Import Configuration Instructions found under NOTES at the bottom of this page.)
  6. When prompted for Stream information choose “Custom” from the drop-down menu and in the server field enter rtmp://bintu-stream.nanocosmos.de:1935/rec [NOTE: some networks will require you to use 80 instead of 1935].
  7. The TribuCast® Stream Security Code you get for each service will be entered into the “Stream Key” field for each service (You can contact TribuCast for a temporary code for setup-testing purposes).
  8. The system will run a bandwidth test.  Click Yes and once completed, click Apply Settings
  9. Añade la cámara de óptica PTZ a OBS Studio:
    • Haga clic en "+" en el menú Fuentes, en la parte inferior de la página, y seleccione "Fuente de medios".
    • Select “Create new” then replace the words “Media Source” with “TribuCast” plus the IP address of your camera
    • Click “OK” and on the next page Deselect “Local File”
    • En el campo "Input" introduzca "rtsp://" seguido de la dirección IP de su cámara y seguido de un "/1" (la entrada resultante debe ser como esta pero usando su dirección IP "rtsp://192.168.1.100/1" luego haga clic OK
    • La imagen que ve la cámara debe aparecer en la pantalla del ordenador en OBS Studio (si no es así, llámenos al 800-782-0104)
    • Resize the camera’s image to fill the gray and black hashed image area by right clicking on the name of the camera then clicking on “Transform” and then “Fit to screen”.
    • Under Audio Mixer, mute all audio sources other than the camera you just installed and make sure the volume on that source is turned up and functioning properly.  Select the gear next to that source and choose Advanced Audio Properties if further adjustments are needed.
  10. Now is a good time to add Welcome, Please Stand-by and Conclusion overlays if you have them as well.
  11. Optimize OBS Studio to broadcast using TribuCast®
    • Haga clic en Configuración en el menú inferior derecho

    • Set “Rate Control” to “VBR” and “Bitrate” to 1500

    • You are now ready to broadcast using TribuCast®
    • Haga clic en Comenzar la transmisión on the Controls menu in the bottom right at the beginning of your service and Stop Streaming at the end to stop it.  If you have questions, please call us at 800-782-0104.
  12. Puede controlar el Pan/Tilt/Zoom de su cámara PTZ Optics utilizando el software PTZ Camera Control
    • Abre la aplicación de control de cámaras ópticas PTZ
    • Haga clic en Ajustes y luego Configuración de las Cámaras Múltiples
    • Renombra a Camera1 "TribuCast"
    • NOTA: debe configurar la cámara en el modo de IP fija antes de hacer este paso.
    • Haga clic en OK
    • Haga clic en Cámara IP e introduzca la dirección IP de su cámara
    • Click on TribuCast® and control the camera using the arrows.
    • Puede guardar las vistas de la cámara moviendo la cámara a la vista que desee y haciendo clic en Establecer y luego en una de las 9 ubicaciones de guardado. Considere la posibilidad de nombrar cada vista para ayudarle a recordar cuál será la vista, es decir, Podium, Podium Close Up, Front, Rear, etc.

NOTES: 

  1. The PTZ Optics Camera Control Software may occasionally lose its connection with the camera.  If this happens, simply close and reopen the Camera Control Software app.
  2. Once the PTZ Optics Camera is configured to use POE, an ethernet cable and an audio source connection will be the only two connections the camera will need to operate.
  3. If you wish to install OBS Studio on multiple PCs and/or multiple user accounts on the same PC using the same settings, use the Profile Export/Import and Scene Collection Export/Import functions to save time:

TribuCast OBS Studio Export/Import Configuration Instructions

Use these instructions for Exporting OBS Studio Profile and Scene configurations for use on additional PCs and with additional User Accounts on existing PCs.

EXPORT

After confirming OBS Studio is correctly configured on the PC and User Account you are working from:

  1. click Profile in the top menu, note that “Untitled” is checked and rename it TribuCast Profile Settings
  2. Click “Export” which will create and save a folder named TribuCast Profile Settings in a location you specify. Choose a folder location on a USB drive or network drive accessible by the next pc you wish to configure and click “Select Folder”
  3. Under the Scenes menu in the bottom left corner of OBS “right click” on the word “Scene” and rename it “TribuCast Scene Settings”
  4. Make sure the sources you want to transfer to the next PC are accurately represented under Sources in the menu to the right of Scenes
  5. Click “Scene Collection” on the menu at the top of the screen and confirm TribuCast Scene Settings is checked then click Export and export a file named TribuCastSceneSettings.json to the same folder location you saved the TribuCast Profile Settings folder.

IMPORT

Go to the pc you wish to configure using the settings you’ve just Exported and saved and install/open OBS Studio. Click Cancel when asked if you are optimizing for streaming. Do not worry about configuring any specific settings, streaming or camera sources. This process will automatically import the settings from the previous pc.

  1. Click “Profile” on the OBS Studio top menu and select Import.
  2. Find the USB drive or network drive location where you saved the TribuCast Profile Settings folder and select it then click “Select Folder”. This will import the profile settings from the previous pc in to the one you are now working on.
  3. Go back into the Profile menu and select TribuCast Profile Settings to activate it
  4. Click “Scene Collection” on the OBS Studio top menu and select Import
  5. By clicking the three dots to the right of the “Collection Path” field, find the USB drive or network location where you saved the TribuCastSceneSettings.json file, highlight it and click “Open” then click “Import”
  6. Go back into the Scene Collection menu and make sure the TribuCast Scene Settings option is checked.
  7. You should now see all your cameras and your instance of OBS Studio should be configured.

 

NOTE: If you are using Overlays or accessing additional media assets such as videos or music, they will either need to be stored on a common network path that each user and pc can access, or they will need to be added to each User Account and PC manually.
