Many of the most common questions we get asked about TribuCast® can be found below
How do I view/find the link to a TribuCast®?
The link is generated by the funeral home that is conducting the service and is then provided to the family. The family decides who to share it with. Because each service is considered private unless the family decides to make it public, TribuCast® does not share or provide links upon request.

Why and how to live stream a funeral service?
Even prior to the global pandemic, 9 out of 10 funeral services had family and loved ones who were unable to attend in person due to distance, illness or other unavoidable circumstances. Today, COVID-19 has opened our collective eyes to a need that existed before the pandemic – and which will persist long after it – families and loved ones want to mourn, even when they can’t be there in person, and they will use live streaming technology to do so if it’s available, including remote attendance options like TribuCast®.
Two generations ago people generally grew up, raised families and died in the same community, making it relatively simple to mourn collectively. Today, circumstances are radically different. Elderly family members often retire and move to other areas of the country. Younger generations also move away after high school or college, building new lives hundreds or even thousands of miles away from their place of birth. These demographic shifts have made it harder for families and friends to come together, even to mourn a significant loss.
The TribuCast® Remote Attendance System™ was created with these families in mind. Through its personalization capabilities, TribuCast® creates a private online environment that closely matches the in-person experience of attending a service which enables all loved ones to grieve effectively, regardless of their location or circumstances. One funeral at a time, we have seen that, for any given service, many more people want to pay their respects than could attend in person. And, the feedback from these families has been incredibly positive. Many were surprised at just how many people cared about their loved one and wanted to honor their memory.
The TribuCast® live streaming platform has normalized remote funeral attendance in much the same way that Zoom normalized remote school and work meetings, with one important difference: TribuCast® has been opening the door wider to a new way of mourning, one that specifically addresses the needs of long-forgotten loved ones.
Why is choosing the right live stream provider important?
So if you’re wondering how to live stream a funeral service, you should be aware of the fact that it all begins by choosing the right live stream provider. The TribuCast® Remote Attendance System™ offers a number of features that make it the perfect choice for a wide array of different funeral services. TribuCast® has many advantages over more generalized streaming platforms such as those found on YouTube Live or Facebook Live.
With TribuCast®, you can work with your funeral director to schedule a live stream in advance so that you’re able to provide all remote attendees with a private link that they can access on the day of the service. It’s hard to discount the fact that in a traditional live funeral service, there are always going to be key members of the family that may not be able to attend in person. By adding a live stream component, you simply don’t have to worry about this. TribuCast® allows viewers to join in on the service from anywhere in the world, with no limits on how many people can attend remotely. Furthermore, families can choose to keep a recording of the live stream on the TribuCast® page for up to 90 days following the funeral service. This makes it an even more convenient option for anyone who wants to go back and view the service if they were not able to make it on the day of the live stream due to other obligations or commitments. Please speak with your funeral director if you are interested in using TribuCast® for an upcoming funeral service.
What equipment is required in order to utilize a live streaming platform like TribuCast®?
One of the best parts about the TribuCast® Remote Attendance System™ is the fact that it uses discreet equipment making it very unobtrusive to those attending in person. And, because it is portable, TribuCast® can be used in a variety of settings.
